Fun Blogging: Thampi's Food World

Being close to sea, seafood is very much favoured by the local people of Kerala. Kerala is known for its greenery, also being a tourist destination is also known as God's Own Country. Food has an important role to play as everyone loves the taste of good, tasty, spicy food... Being from Kerala, the Gods Own Country. i.e.; from the Travancore side of Kerala to be exact. My native place is in Kollam, where both my parents are from. And my ancestors come from the Trivandrum side. But I did my schooling and higher education in the city of Cochin, Kerala. So in many sense I am a true Kochi girl. For higher studies, I did my Engineering degree. Then for working I had to move to Bangalore where my job was. I married my husband, who is mainly from Trivandrum but whose family is settled in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, near to Kerala Border. When I became pregnant, I had to quit my job and it was then that I found quality time for writing, blogging and cooking. Here in my website, I have included recipes that are tried and tested and which I frequently make at home, those recipes which I have learned from my Mom and Grand Mother, and also those recipes which I have got to taste and those which I got to try while watching TV and from the web. I have tried to capture the Kerala style of cooking tasty food in this website like the Travancore, Malabar & Kuttanadan style of cooking tasty food. I started this venture in 2017 with the encouragement from my husband. The content and pictures I have posted in this blog are my own and I did all the work on my own on this website.
